Mak­ing its début at Al­l4­Pack, for­mer­ly Em­bal­lage, in Paris is At­lantic Zeis­er’s DIG­I­LINE Blis­ter dig­i­tal print­ing sys­tem in com­bi­na­tion with Ro­ma­co’s blis­ter line Noack 960. This new in­te­grat­ed so­lu­tion is show­cas­ing qual­i­ty print­ing of blis­ter foil with vari­able data, es­pe­cial­ly with small and mid-­size batch­es, in an op­er­a­tion achiev­ing en­hanced flex­i­bil­i­ty and af­ford­abil­i­ty.

The DIG­I­LINE Blis­ter sys­tem in­te­grat­ed in the Ro­ma­co line re­lies en­tire­ly on a low-­main­te­nance dig­i­tal inkjet tech­nol­o­gy UV-cur­able inks. Valu­able set­up time in par­tic­u­lar is re­duced to just a few sec­onds when chang­ing jobs. All­so the sys­tem is ca­pa­ble of faith­ful­ly re­pro­duc­ing even Asian scripts thanks to a na­tive PDF res­o­lu­tion of 600 x 600 dpi and an orig­i­nal PDF RIP process. Fur­ther­more, the quan­ti­ty of ink ap­plied can be adapt­ed to suit the re­quire­ments of the foil. The ser­vice life of the UV-A LED tech­nol­o­gy used for dry­ing the ink is around ten times longer than that of the UV-C lamps typ­i­cal­ly uti­lized in flex­og­ra­phy, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease of At­lantic Zeis­er.

“The dig­i­tal print­ing sys­tem DIG­I­LINE Blis­ter is a per­fect fit for the el­e­vat­ed as­pi­ra­tions pur­sued by our blis­ter so­lu­tions as re­gards quick job changes and process re­li­a­bil­i­ty,” ex­plains Markus Frey, who is the Noack prod­uct man­ag­er at Ro­ma­co Phar­mat­e­ch­nik GmbH. “It en­ables users in the phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal in­dus­try to mas­ter the con­stant­ly in­creas­ing num­ber of short pro­duc­tion run­s.”
